WHAT YOU’LL DO
- You will be responsible for the receipts and preparation of deposits for multiple bank accounts;
- You will be in charge of the invoicing;
- You will prepare the payables for premiums, claims, refunds, taxes;
- Your will oversee the reconciliation of premiums, fees, taxes;
- You will calculate commission;
- You will assist with month end;
- You will assist with the preparation of reports;
- You will do the recordkeeping;
- You will be the liaison with external parties;
- You will on occasion do the bank deposit;
- You will assist in other areas as required.
- You are someone who has at least 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting;
- If you are working towards your professional accounting designation this will be considered as an asset;
- You have a strong advanced understanding of Microsoft Office particularly Excel;
- You have worked with Quickbooks in the past or other similar accounting software;
- You have great communication skills, both written and verbal so you can easily explain accounting ideas to co-workers and third parties;
- You have an ability to work with minimal supervision while working in a team environment;
- You are detailed-oriented, self-motivated and have a great ability to set priorities;
- You have strong organization and time management skills to meet deadlines;
- You are a quick learner. This will be needed as we keep moving and changing and your ability to adapt quickly will be greatly appreciated;
- You are a problem-solver. You have innovative solutions to any problems you encounter;
- You are always looking to do things better and faster while having an eye for details;
