Commercial Marketer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Commercial Marketer to join our Commercial Lines team. In this role, you will work closely with Account Producers/Marketers to understand client needs and recommend solutions regarding placement, terms, and policy conditions. This position demands a positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The business portfolio primarily focuses on various segments within the construction and contracting industry. We Care. We Help.

Responsibilities
• Market and negotiate both new and renewal business by developing and maintaining excellent relationships with insurers to secure the best terms for clients.
• Serve as the liaison with Producers and their Account Managers to discuss client needs and make recommendations regarding terms and conditions obtained.
• Assist in developing innovative marketing solutions for challenging placement risks.
• Provide ongoing service on accounts as required, negotiating mid-term changes with insurers.
• Adhere to policies and procedures, including security and quality protocols, as currently set out and as amended from time to time.
• Stay current on new products, coverage, and market trends by attending seminars and reading relevant materials.
• Act as the primary technical support to staff for policy coverage review and company underwriting information needs.
• Prepare submissions, proposals, binders, and handle renewals, endorsements, and new business on a day-to-day basis.
• Establish strong industry relationships and attend insurer and industry functions.
• Follow corporate policies and procedures.
• Maintain education credits for licensing.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required.

Who You Are
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Commercial Lines experience; construction experience is an asset.
• Level 2 insurance license; CAIB, CIP, FCIP, or CRM designation is considered an asset.
• Self-starter, highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, and able to manage multiple priorities/deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, The Agency Manager, and/or Applied Epic.
• Friendly professional demeanor with strong business acumen.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment and work well with others.
• Driven to succeed and able to represent our brand in all insurance interactions.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance.
• Punctual with a strong attendance history.
