Commercial Marketer

Full Time | Burnaby Office

We are currently looking for a Commercial Marketer to join our Burnaby team in our Surrey office. In this role, you will collaborate directly with Producer(s) to assess insurance needs, prepare marketing submissions, function as a liaison with our insuring partners, and prepare proposals so that Producers can close the sale. This position requires a positive attitude, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to shift gear in a high paced environment. The portfolio of business focuses on but is not limited to various segments within the construction and contracting industry. Wilson M. Beck Insurance Services Inc. is one of the largest privately held construction brokerages in Western Canada. WHAT YOU’LL DO 
  • You will market and negotiate both new and renewal business by developing and fostering excellent relationships with Insurers to ensure negotiation of best terms for clients.
  • You will be the liaison with Producers, and their Account Manager to discuss client needs and make recommendations regarding terms and conditions obtained.
  • Assist with developing innovative marketing solutions for tough placement risks.
  • You will provide on-going servicing on accounts as required, negotiating mid-term changes with Insurers.
  • You will follow policies and procedures, including security and quality procedures, as currently set out and as amended from time to time.
  • You will be current on new products, coverage, and market trends by attending seminars and reading relevant written material.
  • You will act as the primary technical support to staff for policy coverage review and company underwriting information needs.
  • You will establish great industry relationships and attend Insurer and Industry functions.

  • You have 5 + years of experience in Commercial Lines roles, construction experience is an asset.
  • You have your Level 2 insurance License, CAIB, CIP, FCIP or CRM designation would be considered an asset.
  • You are a strong negotiator on behalf of our client.
COMPENSATION
  • The expected salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope, and level.

Salary Range: $75,000.00 To 90,000.00 Annually.
